Cloud paced back and forth. His friends were seated around a table in a house he knew far too well.

"Alright," he said, still pacing. So much had happened in such a short time. "Let's go over what we know." He took a breath.

"Kari is a Cetra, more importantly, the last known living Cetra. The Cetra, while they have been known as the planet travelers, they have another duty, facilitated merely by their existance. As long as they exist, a wall, a barrier, is created between our world and a living hell made just for the evil monsters known as demons. Shinra, however, helped weaken that barrier by creating evils of their own, draining the lifestream, and hunting down the last Cetra, though..." He paused and took a calming breath, "Though Sephiroth killed Aeris. Thus, with the thinning of the Cetra bloodline, that barrier thinned as well. Several crossed over, and killed 3 of your sisters," He looked pointedly at Kari, "then captured and most likely killed the fourth. One of these demons, the one who sent the demon of fear, wants nothing more than your demise. When he accomplishes this, the wall will fall and darkness will reign." He looked to Aoshi.

"You have seen these demons in some form or another, I would imagine, through your long years, and you are the only one who withstood the demon of fear's assault. I don't understand all of your powers, but we are greatful for any and all of your help."

"Now, the real question is, since we have to destroy them first, where do we find them?"

Perking up for the first time in a good while, Vincent contemplated the thought of demon hunting. Where would they be? It was a question akin to asking where the wind blows at any given time. However...

"These creatures..." said Vincent. "I am not entirely familiar with them, but..."

Vincent suddenly felt out of his element. He knew so many things, fought with unspeakable horrors (both within and without), and yet he felt small, almost inadequate for the task at hand.

"Hmm..." Vincent began again. "Do these things require any amount of sustenance? or Perhaps they have some familiar habit that would allow us to locate them with expediancy? Since most creatures need to feed or rest, what would draw the attention of these creatures on a regular basis?"

"Souls to devour, if nothing else," Cloud said after a moment's thought. "They are here to destroy. I don't believe there is any pattern we can track the demons by, but...." He paused, searching for the right way to say this.

"Shinra has been regaining power under an unknown leader. Since Rufus' death, the company had no control but now is reviving itself on the Upper Plate." He narrowed his eyes and pounded his fist against the table. "It gains new power. Possibly, the demons back them because they know how Mako drains the barrier that holds them back. I say we pay the old tower a little visit, eh?"

OOC: um, yes, i'll delete this post eventually, but i need some people to make charas for this. Yes, I like this particular forum because it is my brainchild, and I'd like to see if i can't make an actually game out of this someday. rp-ing it helps make storyline, and i really don't want to make it all up myself, because it will suck. seriously. so far, i have these chars:

jeremy - vincent
dan - aoshi
me - cloud
mo - b -11(not yet entered)

need chars. and life. thank you biggrin

OOC: not the first time i've heard that statement, but it really doesn't matter. I can't remember if i ever put up basic plotline for this up or not, but if i haven't just ask

Aoshi glanced at Cloud from his spot leaning against a wall. He raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the suggested plan of action. There were so many names and places being mentioned that he'd never heard of. That wasn't unusual, of course -- The Blademaster was new to this particular universe, and experienced the same sense of unfamiliarity with every different one he visited. This was just another place to learn, more names to memorize -- more attachments to forget, when it came time to move on.

"You'll forgive me," Aoshi began, his voice deep and forbidding, "if I don't know what in the Seven Levels of Heavenly Consciousness* you're talking about. Care to tell me what exactly I should be looking for in this tower of yours?"

OOC: * Just made this up on the spot. It's probably related to some myth he's heard throughout his travels
